HealthVision is MillenniumIT ESP’s latest solution on remote patient management that focuses on patient primary healthcare and symptom reporting. For this project execution, MillenniumIT ESP is working with Microsoft Sri Lanka through their philanthropies arm who donated Microsoft Azure services to deploy HealthVision at MJFCF. HealthVision is a web-enabled, mobile responsive, intuitive platform for medical personnel to connect with their patients remotely. At the MJF Charitable Foundation, HealthVision will enable medical personnel and caregivers to connect with children that have Cerebral Palsy and other developmental disorders from across Sri Lanka; record their current health, safety and risk details through a guided questionnaire; visually capture their expressions, symptoms and symptom history through video and audio recordings; provide home based therapies and care where applicable; and continue communications with them on a periodic basis to ascertain the status of their wellbeing. The National Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy and other Developmental Disorders at MJFCF serves as a national hub, offering various services such as education, therapy, training and counselling for children with Cerebral Palsy and other developmental disorders, as well as their caregivers, teachers and trainers who work with special needs individuals. HealthVision will be powering ‘disABILITY’, the disability screening and management application of MJF Foundation, and the platform will be specifically connecting children with special needs and their families in Sri Lanka to MJF Centre’s services provided at NCCCPDD and via other partners across Sri Lanka; including Disability Screening, Developmental Screening, Child Reference to Pediatrician Diagnosis, Early Identification and Intervention, Free Multidisciplinary Team Support, Free Therapeutic, Educational and Rehabilitation Services, Free Mobility Aids Support and Child Progress Monitoring Follow Ups. “It is with great pleasure that we partner with MJFCF to introduce HealthVision to Sri Lanka through a great philanthropic service,” stated Mr. Murali Prakash, Director – MillenniumIT ESP and Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer – Ambeon Capital PLC and Ambeon Holding PLC. “With the assistance of HealthVision, a remote monitoring e-solution, charitable institutions such as MJF Foundation can now monitor children in their care from a distant location expanding the reach of much need therapeutic services for children and adults who are differently abled. The use of HealthVision further ensures the reduction of healthcare risks where deterioration in a patient’s health status can be brought to a provider’s attention early enough allowing proactive intervention and personalised care, thus assisting their caregivers, teachers and trainers who work with special needs individuals,” he concluded. In this case, patients and/or their parents or caretakers will be able to securely access the HealthVision platform through the solution’s web URL or via its mobile app. The HealthVision powered ‘disABILITY’ app, which supports both Android and iOS, can be signed in via the one-time-password (OTP) sent for authentication to their respectively registered mobile number. Each recorded case will be identified with a unique reference code and provided to the patient for future reference. On the other hand, HealthVision will allow medical personnel and caregivers to communicate with special needs children and their parents or caretakers through video, audio and chat facility. They will also be able to access their patients’ assessments or inquiries through the solution’s Admin Panel and patient cases will be automatically allocated to the medical personnel in the system. Moreover, the Admin Panel will be providing valuable insights to identify the children’s current status, where they are located, provide them the resources needed to maintain a positive mindset and guidance to follow the medical advice offered by the medical personnel. “The MJF Centres around Sri Lanka work with over 400 children daily. However, there is an estimate of 40,000 children with Cerebral Palsy living in Sri Lanka,” says Mr. Dilhan C. Fernando, CEO of Dilmah and Director of MJFCF and NCCPDD. “This partnership provides a wider reach to ensure that more children and others living with the stigma of disability have access to services they may not receive otherwise,” he added. MillenniumIT ESP launches HealthVision – a Remote Patient Management System MillenniumIT ESP launches HealthVision – a Remote Patient Management System HealthVision is a web-enabled, mobile responsive, intuitive platform for medical personnel to connect with their patients remotely. The inbuilt Machine Learning model automatically classifies and assigns the patient to relevant medical teams based on their levels of risk. The system supports multilingual communication – English, Sinhala and Tamil. MillenniumIT ESP – one of Sri Lanka’s leading Systems Integrator and Information Systems providers – recently launched HealthVision – a web enabled, mobile responsive remote patient monitoring platform for medical personnel and care givers. This latest solution enables them to connect with their patients from a remote location, record their details regarding health and safety risks through guided questionnaires, capturing of their expressions and symptoms through video and voice facility, medical history, etc. and enables continuous communication on a daily basis to ascertain the status of their patients’ health. “HealthVision is designed as an asynchronous, near real-time platform to solve the challenge of meeting the ever-growing demand for healthcare with the limited capacity of healthcare providers. Digital technologies such as Analytics and AI, coupled with Automation will help further reduce the overall cost per engagement, making access to quality healthcare viable for everyone,” stated Mr. Rahal Jayawardene, Head of Technology Alliance and Innovation, Millennium IT ESP. “The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the entire world, creating a paradigm shift into the way we think, act and respond. The new normal within the post COVID era has also paved way for a plethora of opportunities for ‘smart’ healthcare systems and most importantly for remote or e-health solutions,” stated Mr. Murali Prakash, Director – MillenniumIT ESP and Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer – Ambeon Capital PLC and Ambeon Holding PLC. “With the launch of HealthVision, we are now able to serve communities across the country, giving them access to healthcare services from the comfort of their homes avoiding the unnecessary risk of travel. The all new HealthVision app facilitates remote monitoring. This ensures the reduction of healthcare risks where deterioration in a patient’s health status can be brought to a provider’s attention early enough allowing proactive intervention and personalised care,” stated Mr. Prakash. Medical personnel can access their patient assessments or inquiries through the application’s Admin Panel. They can communicate with their patients via video, voice or chat facility. HealthVision’s Admin Panel also provides valuable insights to medical personnel in order to assist them in identifying their patients’ current status, their location and provision of appropriate resources when needed to encourage a positive mindset during difficult health and safety patient cases. The inbuilt Machine Learning model incorporated within HealthVision would learn from the initial manual classification and risk ratings conducted by the medical personnel and then based on that data would automatically classify and assign the patient to relevant medical teams, according to their level of risk. Based on all this information, patients can then obtain the needed guidance to follow the medical instructions provided, while their medical consultants can provide accurate and timely consultation services based on real time information. Overall, HealthVision’s Admin Panel provides medical personnel detailed information on the symptoms of their patients along with video captures of cases for clearer diagnosis, risk rating of each case for prioritising purposes, and customisation ability for questionnaires and workflows to suit their specific requirements.
